C300 Maraging Steel, also known as Type 300, is a slow cool, age hardening (maraging) steel. This type of precipitation hardening creates the exceptional strength and toughness that C300 is known for. As a result of these attributes and it’s crack resistance propagation, Maraging is often used for tooling, missile casings, and aircraft landing gear. Maraging C300 is composed primarily of iron with nickel, cobalt, and molybdenum being the other major chemical properties. Standard specifications for Maraging C300 include UNS K93120, ASTM A579 and more.

At Rickard Specialty Metals, we have 25+ years of experience supplying C300 forgings, sheet, plate and more to your custom measurements. Our forging process includes open die forgings, ring rolling and more. Additionally, we provide C300 heat treatment. See below for a list of common C300 Maraging steel forged shapes, as well as additional product forms we offer.
